Simple:
close your eyes and relax your muscles breathing slowly and
naturally and allow the music to wash through you.
Silent meditation: repeat the word
or phrase you have chosen silently and continue for 10 – 20 mins.
Walking Meditation: this
involves intentionally attending to the experience of walking –
physical sensations, feelings, mental and emotional state and
objects of consciousness.
Transcendental: using
a mantra to take you to a deep state of meditation.
Mindfulness: fully experiencing what
happens in the here and now. It helps you to eliminate the
thoughts in your head and to focus our minds in the moment.
Journey or Guided:
when the meditation takes or guides you on a journey to
a tranquil place where you feel safe and calm.
Vibrational:
pick a word that feels good when you say it and chant the
word, focusing on nothing but the word. Feel it resonating
through you and it is important to roll the sound through your body
as it promotes a meditative state of relaxation.
Movement:
focus your attention on the movement and on the vibration.
Allow yourself to get lost in the sense of movement and the beauty
of your body as it moves (dance).
Body Scan: a form of mindfulness but
bringing your attention to the body.
Taoist: works on all three levels – body,
breathe and mind (The Three Treasures).
Breathe and Naval:
this is the oldest meditation method on record.
It works with the natural flow of the breath and expansion and
contraction of the abdomen.
Microcosmic Orbit: the
best Taoist method for cultivating health and longevity as it
refines, raises and circulates internal energy via the orbit.
